Location
Within Drummond designated anchorage zone there are two mooring points with a buoy of 20 feet diameter each one as follows:
Mooring point No.1 is located at Lat. 11º 06’ 42’’ North - Long. 74º 16’ 48’’ West. Depth 63 feet salt water.
Mooring point No.2 is located at Lat. 11º 06’ 42’’ North – Long. 74º 17’ 48’’ West. Depth 72 feet salt water.
Vessel Size Restrictions: Puerto Drummond restrictions on Vessel Dimensions are:
1. Maximum LOA : 310 mtrs
2. Maximum Beam : 45 mtrs
3. Maximum Sailing Draft Mooring Point No.1 : 18 mtrs sw.
4. Maximum Sailing Draft Mooring Point No.2 : 20 mtrs sw.
5. Air Draft – DWLTHC : 16 mtrs ( Distance from Water Line to Top of Hatch Cover and coaming in loadable full ballast conditions )

Pilot Assistance
Pilot assistance compulsory for vessels above 500 grt going in/out of the port as well for shifting between piers. Pilot station/boarding position 0.5 nautical mile due S of the morro grande light. Santa Marta port control station and pilots can be contacted on VHF channels 11, 16 and 74. A pilot ladder shall be rigged on the starboard side of each Vessel unless otherwise instructed. |

Notices and Pre-Arrival Information

1. The Master of each Vessel is required to send immediately upon receiving instructions from the Owner or his Charterer ( or upon departure from the previous port), the first ETA Notice to Drummond. Further ETA Notices are to sent 7, 5, 3, 2, 1 day(s) prior to arrival of the Vessel at Puerto Drummond, in addition to any other ETA Notice required in the Charter Party. Furthermore the Master shall immediately inform Puerto Drummond of any deviation in excess of twenty four (24) hours to the aforementioned ETA .
2. The Master is required to notify Puerto Drummond of his stowage plan and loading sequence as soon as possible but not later than 72 hours prior to arrival at Puerto Drummond should already have received Stowage Plan and approved the loading sequence as meeting the Port’s Rules and Regulations. Stowage plan shall have loading rotation / sequence based on two (2) floating cranes,
3. The pre-arrival information must be sent by the Master to Puerto Drummond at least 72 hours prior to the arrival at Puerto Drummond
Marine Equipment./ Floating Cranes: Three floating cranes are available for loading operations, two floating cranes be broadside vessel by Port side. The Master and the Crew are required to cooperate and assist the stevedores when necessary with the mooring and unmooring of the floating cranes and of the barges. |

Loading Rate |

Loading rate achieved 28,000 metric tons per day official loading rate 25,000 metric tons per day.
Vessel Isolation:
1. No disembarking shall take place during the stay of a Vessel at Puerto Prodeco, except for medical emergencies certified by the local doctor, disembarking may be allowed subject to the prior approval of the Port Manager and in coordination with Ship’s Agency.
2. Provissions, supplies and fresh water are not obtainable at Puerto Prodeco, no visitors allowed to approach or board the vessel at Puerto Prodeco by any means.
3. To ensure the safety of Vessels, Crew and cargo, two watchmen and one security supervisor will be placed on board each vessel at the time of anchoring. The cost of this service will be to the account of the Vessel and considered a customary port expense for Puerto Prodeco, Compulsory underwater search on arrival/departure carry out by Colombian Navy scuba divers team also will be to the account of the Vessel. |
